Google has unveiled two new features to its search engine, including the option of tracking Federal Express and United Parcel Service packages.

Search by Number lets you find information related to parcel tracking IDs, patents and another specialised numbers. For example, typing "fedex" followed by a space and a FedEx tracking number will return the latest information on your package. Search by Number also lets you find UPS tracking numbers and patent numbers.

Search by Number is available now on Google.com, with international versions planned for the coming months. Google now also includes results from its online shopping search service Froogle in the main Google search-listings page information.

Enter search terms related to products for sale on the web to see search results returned from Froogle positioned just above the web search results.

For example, a search for Nokia 3310 will feature Froogle search results linking to web pages where the handet can be purchased, in addition to other relevant web pages from the Google index.
