Dear reader, welcome back! It was a real busy week here at Rank for Sales, as we are signing up a lot of new clients. It would appear that companies are finally realizing the value and reach of search engine optimization and search engine marketing.

Additionally, and this confirms what I've said a few times about three weeks ago: companies are preparing their websites and their ecommerce portals for the busy Christmas and Holiday season that is only four months away. Those e-tailors usually make or break their whole year during those critical weeks.

On Monday, Yahoo said it had acquired FareChase, a small online travel company, to help broaden its Web search capabilities. Yahoo actually purchased New York-based FareChase on July 2, for an undisclosed sum.
