The regulators have been looking closely at the offering in recent weeks because of several miscalculations on Google's part, including failing to register as many as 28 million shares issued to insiders and generating publicity during the SEC-mandated quiet period. Some people had suggested the SEC would impose a "cooling off" period before the deal.

On Thursday, Google was in the news again, with yet another keyword infringement lawsuit that has been filed against the company, because of the trademarked keywords companies bid for in Google's AdWords PPC program. Next week Google will head over to a German courtroom where it will continue to defend its technology against Metaspinner Media GmbH.

Neowin reports that Metaspinner claims that Google’s AdWords keyword advertising program infringes on its “Preispiraten” trademark. According to PCWorld Metaspinner already “won a preliminary injunction against Google last November and is seeking a permanent injunction and damages.” This isn’t the first time Google has been taken to court for similar trademark infringements.
