Too early you think? After all, for all of us in the Northern hemisphere, we are just starting summer right? Well it depends. Since the busy Christmas and holidays season represents the best time of the year for many online stores, it pays to plan five or six months in advance. For many e-tailers, Christmas represents from 40 to 50% of their annual sales-- some even more. A few of our clients have started re-evaluating their Web strategies, beginning with the optimization of their websites, both as their generic (or organic) listings are concerned, as well as their PPC (Pay per Click) SEM campaigns. There are still people that think early June is premature to start thinking about Christmas. However, e-tailers and online ecommerce stores that plan ahead usually reap the rewards in better sales, higher profits and increased market share. Since only a one percent increase in their overall market share can mean millions of dollars, now maybe it is starting to make a lot of sense when you think of it.
