One of the main reasons Google doesn't like it is that Web Position Gold sends out thousands of non sanctioned automated queries to its search engine, causing them tremendous problems, along with exorbitant (and unecessary) Internet bandwidth costs. It just wastes too much of their resources. For all these reasons, and a few more, most of the major search engines don't appreciate any of this.

If you read Google's Terms of Service ( http://www.google.com/terms_of_service.html ) they specifically state that Web Position Gold is NOT allowed.

Also, most of the other SEO professionals I know of don't use it either. Using a tool that the search engines forbid in their Terms of Service (TOS) is gambling as far as I'm concerned. If you cannot afford to loose your search engine rankings or your traffic in any way, stay away from WPG.

The only way you will consistently get good rankings and targeted traffic to your site is if you use only approved technology and tools. Stay away from unethical practices and you will do well. Learn more about SEO by reading more. You will be glad you did!
